Geoffrey L. Risley, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and completed medical school at the University
of Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Risley completed his general surgery and vascular fellowship at the University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then practiced with the world-renowned vein surgeon, Dr. John Bergan, at the
Scripps Memorial Hospital and La Jolla Vein Institute in San Diego, CA for 4 years before returning to Florida. Dr.
Risley is a member of the Society of Vascular Surgery, the Southern Association for Vascular Surgery, American College of Phlebology, the Florida
Vascular Society, the Vascular Access Society, the Florida Medical Society and the Duval and Clay County Medical
Societies.

Serving as the medical director of the Jacksonville Vein Center, Dr. Risley is the only board-certified physician
in vascular surgery, in Jacksonville to provide endovenous laser treatment (EVLT), radiofrequency ablation (VNUS
Closure), US guide foam- sclerotherapy , standard sclerotherapy, venous thrombolysis, venous stenting as well as
minimally-invasive phlebectomy and conventional vein stripping.
Alfred D. Harding, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Received his undergraduate degree and a doctorate in medicine from the University of Missouri. He completed his
general surgery and vascular fellowship under the tutelage of Dr. Donald Silver at the University of Missouri.
Dr. Harding is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is board-certified in Vascular Surgery. He is a
member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, The Florida Vascular Society,
The Jacksonville Vascular Society, and the Florida and Duval County Medical Societies.
Dr. Harding has practiced vascular surgery in Jacksonville since 1990. He was the first fellowship trained
board-certified vascular surgeon to enter private practice in Jacksonville and is the medical director of our
peripheral vascular lab. For the last 17 years, Dr. Harding has cared for the arterial and venous problems of
the people in Northeast Florida. He is an accomplished musician and is a recognized leader in the community.

Brianne L. Pitts, ARNP
received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Florida State University and worked as a registered nurse for four
years specializing in cardiovascular nursing. She earned her master's degree in nursing from the University of
Florida while working as the nurse for the Jacksonville Vein Center and CTVS training under Dr. Geoffrey L. Risley
in Vascular Surgery including venous diseases and ultimately became sclerotherapy certified. Continuing on with the
practice working with Dr. Risley as his advanced registered nurse practitioner, Brianne now specializes in Vascular
Surgery including diagnosing and treating venous diseases including the treatment of spider veins and varicose veins
with sclerotherapy. Brianne is also a member of the Society of Vascular Nursing and the American Nurses Association.
